Laura-Beth moved to Los Angeles in January 2012 to pursue her career state side. Since living in LA she has worked on various voice overs, for companies such as Microsoft, and she now narrates celebrity news stories for Yahoo! UK and Splash News TV. Earlier this year Laura-Beth was nominated for an award for her on screen acting performance in a short film which premiered at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood and she has recently performed in a new stage musical comedy in Hollywood, off Broadway in New York and at the acclaimed Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Comedy has become a huge part of Laura-Beth's career in LA; performing stand up at prestigious events and venues, including the world famous Comedy Store in West Hollywood alongside Eric Andre, the Spring Jubilee Weekend for Brit Week and the HA! Comedy Club in Times Square NYC. She also trains in improv comedy at the Westside Comedy Theatre in Santa Monica and is a member of a resident House Team there.
Laura-Beth has always been an entertainer. Born and raised in Leeds, England she began dancing at the age of just two years old. She was a finalist of Miss Dance of Great Britain two years running and says that performing at the finals was one of the best and most memorable moments of her life. Upon completing her A Levels in Drama, Maths and Biology, all of which she gained grade As in, she then went on to persue her passion for performing, training for three years at the world renowned Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in London, where she graduated with a National Diploma (Honours). She then went on to gain a First Class BA Honours degree in Professional Practice (CPD) from Middlesex University, London.
Laura-Beth has enjoyed a varied career working in TV, film, theater, musical theater, commercials, stand up comedy, improvised comedy, hosting, live events and voice overs and is currently working on some exciting new projects. She is proud to be a part of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts in Los Angeles (BAFTA LA).
